PLACE2BE Joins Ravenor Primary School.
Place2Be – Helping children to feel better about themselves!
Please read the attached letter (also translated into Somali) to share the
wonderful news about the introduction of the Place2be here at Ravenor.
We are all aware of the pressures faced by children and young people in our society
today. These include ongoing assessment in schools, economic worries, employment
worries and the break up of families due to separation or divorce. For some children these
worries can get in the way of learning and affect children’s future chances. We are delighted that our children will now benefit from the work of Place2Be.
ATTENDANCE—Children who miss school miss out on learning!
You may remember from the last academic year that we are working hard to
encourage children to attend school every day and to arrive promptly, ready to take
advantage of the excellent teaching we provide.
In each Newsletter we will let you know how close we are getting to achieving our
target of 98% attendance throughout the year.
For the weeks 7/9/2009—18/9/2009 the average attendance was:
95.3%.
Well done—we’re getting there!
Each week we reward the class in Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two that has the best attendance.
Winners so far this term have been:
Week One: Green Class (KS1)
6W (KS2)
Week Two: Raindrop (Foundation Stage)
Blue Class (KS1)
6W (KS2)
